This circa 1920's Vega banjo mandolin is based on a Little Wonder design.
A beautifully restored, luthier-owned instrument that is Irish tuned with 4 strings (can be restrung to normal 8-string mandolin style). The resonator was added by the owner. It is also freshly refretted.
It features the original tuners and a few upgrades... a beautiful maple tailpiece cover and mahogany bridge for a slightly mellower sound.
Such a great session instrument!

This beautifully crafted A-style mandolin was handmade by renowned luthier Phil Davidson in Gloucestershire in 2009. Featuring a solid spruce top paired with stunning maple back and sides, it offers a warm, resonant tone with excellent projection thanks to its oval soundhole. The instrument plays exceptionally well, with a smooth neck and low, comfortable action that makes it a joy to pick up and play.
