I recently visited the shop for the first time, to try out a Taylor 810CE. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I must especially single out Lucas for his expert advice, and patience in allowing me all the time I wanted to try the instrument. It's a pity more guitar shops don't have the same attention to detail and customer friendly approach to sales as Eagle Music. I did buy the guitar and it is superb.

Hi This is just to say thanks for the strings you sent. I have been using a number of pretty lousy string sets over the last few years. Yours are a revelation! Lovely sound. I play a Chicago-tuned tenor guitar (basically I’m a geriatric guitar player with stiff joints) and you’ve got me sounding great (well, I think so). I’ve wanted a Collings MT O for many years and when I saw this one at Eagle Music it was too tempting to resist! On my visit to the store I was made very welcome by Rachel, offered coffee and given a very relaxed opportunity to play the MT O. Wow! … the Collings tone was all there, build quality exceptional and set-up by the Eagle Music team perfect. There was little doubt I'd leave the store without this lovely mandolin and now really enjoying it more and more. Many thanks.

The tanglewood tenor banjo sounds beautiful and is super easy to play. I’ve never played one before but I can play some mandolin (which is tuned the same) and I play bluegrass banjo so the tenor banjo is kind of a love child if a mandolin and a banjo got together 😂 it’s lovely to play and sounds excellent I can’t wait to hammer out some Celtic tunes! Bought a Goodtime banjo off you a few months ago. I thought I would give you my comments. There cannot be a more playable banjo anywhere. In minutes I felt I could play faster and with more precision than my Tanglewood Cove Creek, which itself is not a bad instrument. The sound level defies the laws of physics! I would never have thought a non-resonator banjo could produce such volume at high quality. It makes a seriously good sound right through from folk to blue grass, even a bit of rock. I still do not believe it can do it and still be so light a playable. It is a fabulous example of clean simple brilliant design. You may get the impression that I like it!! Regards Colin Warburton

Dear Eagle Music, I just wanted to say thanks to Graham, who supported me in my decision on which mandolin to buy (as a COMPLETE beginner) last Friday. I didn’t expect such commitment to showing me all the options, taking me through the pros and cons, with the end result being the purchase of the Ozark 2073. I am more than happy with the mandolin, and having got it home and further researched it’s spec, I now understand that it not only has a solid (spruce) front, but the back and sides are also solid (maple). It’s got a lovely clear tone. Leave me with it for a year (or probably more) but I do know that when I want to upgrade I’ll be coming back to Eagle. I just want to say a very big thank you to all you guys at Eagle Music and give you full marks on customer satisfaction. When I came to the shop in June, Matthew kindly took the time to sit with me for about an hour or more and showed me various banjos. He then very kindly waited outside with me until my taxi arrived. I live in Birmingham and was in Huddersfield to attend a funeral, so was unable to buy the banjo there and then. However, after a week of mulling over which banjo to buy, I eventually phoned up and ordered a Good Time Junior 5 string banjo. I couldn't quite remember the name of the banjo I wanted but Rachel was very helpful in identifying it. The banjo arrived about four days later perfectly set up to play. It is a dream to play, the tuning is immaculate on all the frets and the tone is divine. Thank you very much. I would recommend you to anyone. I plan sometime in the near future to come to Huddersfield again for the sole purpose of making another trip to your shop. Gary Wickett

I booked to visit the shop a couple of weeks ago to buy my first five string banjo, The welcome I got was second to none. Such a friendly shop and the banjo is set up to perfection. Then at the weekend I sent for strings and a thumb pick. two days later they were in my mailbox. Whether in the shop or online Eagle Music cannot be bettered.

Hi Rachel Thanks for recommending the Brunswick tenor ukelele which I received today. It’s very ‘playable’ and ideal for my 6 year old grandson, as you suggested. I was also pleasantly surprised myself by the tone which was better than I had expected. Deering Goodtime Erin Ennis 17 Fret...Woweeeeee!!!!! I couldn’t have believed that it was going to be this good - such a great sounding instrument and very playable - after the mandolin I have some more space for the fingers! After a while I did think that the mandolin was feeling a bit put out now there’s a new kid on the block but they compliment each other well. It was made for me by Gary Nava so it too is a bit special (he’s worth looking up). Anyway thank you again - I’m going to sit under the tree and play for a while - cheers All the best - Tristan

Deering Artisan Americana 12 inch purchased recently. Excellent pre-sales help & advice from Matt and great assistance from Emma with delivery issue. Banjo perfectly set-up, plays great. Full, sweet sound with lots of sustain, suits my style of clawhammer really well. Great service all round.
