Description
Celebrating 100 years of Vega banjos 1904 - 2004. The Vega tubaphone banjo is unquestionably one of the most unique banjos ever designed and produced. This is an excellent, highest quality banjo is for all styles of banjo playing ..but of course the open back banjo is the favourite of old time, frailing, and clawhammer players.
For many years only affluent collectors could afford tubaphone banjos made in the earlier part of the 20th century Deering have entered into a new era of the Vega tradition and reproduced these finest quality banjos at relatively affordable prices.
The Vega No.2 is hand built from blonde curly maple, ebony fingerboard, traditional Vega shape neck, 3 ply maple rim, tubaphone tone ring, nickel plated hardware.
