The Ibanez "Artist" 591TB is a superior quality Tenor Banjo built in Japan the 1970’s to the highest standards. No longer produced but much sought after and played by many players, Professional and otherwise. This particular example is in very good clean condition and excellent playing condition. The fretwork is perfect and their is hardly a mark on the neck or resonator. Features on this fine instrument include a die-cast flat top tone ring,Tube and flange assembly on a 15 ply 7/8” thick shell, Rock Maple neck with adjustable truss rod. The peg head is inlaid (not a transfer) with a genuine mother of pearl renaissance design as is the Ebony fret board. The hardware is heavy chrome plated throughout and the tuners are 18:1ratio planetary pegs. The tailpiece has been replaced with a Heavy duty Kershner tailpiece and the bridge is a 5/8” Grover bone inserted “Acousticraft”. Finished with cream binding and checkerboard inlays on the side of the neck. Two concentric rings adorn the back of the resonator. Supplied with original Ibanez hardshell case.
