Please note...this is a 'Prop' stand, it is not designed for hanging heavy instruments. The base of the instruments needs to be able to rest on the floor. Light instruments such as fiddle and uke may be hung on this stand.

Steve 'Eagle' Noon writes …It’s almost two decades since I saw my first ‘Pub Prop', It was placed in my hand by the inventor, Brian Rathmill saying “tell me what you think of this”? It was an ingenious idea and a must for the ‘gig bag kit’. It was hand crafted from steel, milled, drilled, filled, hinged and threaded with a rubber protection sleeve around the neck support. As a qualified precision engineer myself I thought …Wow this is a brilliant idea …but very expensive to manufacture. Brian pursued his idea through to the production of a ‘moulded’, affordable ‘Pub Prop’ which is the excellent product that we see today. Brian was from our ‘neck of the woods’ and I play music with friends in the Manchester sessions that still own an original ‘Briarmill Table Prop Stand’, he is sadly missed on the local music scene, but Brian left behind for us a legacy in his ingenious ‘Pub Prop’.

Bought this as a gift to prevent a friend damaging her guitar by just leaning it against a table in a crowded room. Have had mine for years, but also use a stand.

Great, simple idea. Very practical, lightweight and small. Holds the guitar very well when the base is on the floor. (Wouldn't use for hanging heavy or valuable instruments).

Just what I wanted. My wife and I go to acoustic nights in local pubs, where space is cramped, so no room for normal instrument stands. The Pub Prop is perfect for resting my guitar and her mandolin against (or in her case suspended from) a pub table.

Used mostly in a packed acoustic session where danger of guitars being knocked over is high. Very good quality. Storage bag handy too!

I've found this product difficult to obtain. A *** said they wouldn't stock it as guitars should be kept safe from pub tables & spilled beer hazard. But my music takes place in crowded pubs & the pub prop is a clever little godsend.

The pub prop is an essential piece of kit for me - simple and effective way of keeping my guitar safe from being knocked over at folk and guitar club sessions which just happen to be in pubs - so it does what it says on the tin!

I use this every time I play in pubs, it's surprising how many people can't see a guitar on a stand and walk into it! This way, the guitar stays by me so I can look after it.

Great little tool ideal for open Mic / acoustic events where a traditional guitar stand would not be suitable.

I play Irish music in many public houses around the country and, along with my banjo stand, I find the prop holder very useful at times particularly when I am playing in a full, and often rowdy, bar Thankyou to you and the product developer.

I use pub prob when I'm playing in a pub and there's nowhere to place my guitar, also, living in a small apartment, space is at a premium so I use pub prop to hold my guitar at tthe side of my desk.
I would recommend pub prop to my friends and anyone I see with an instrument struggling to find a place of support for it.
The quality of pub prop is excellent and easy to use

The clip comes undone if a free hanging instrument is knocked, but only if it is fairly heavy and not resting on the floor.
