Unfortunately I had to return this one in plain brass due to poor surface finish and an inclusion in the metal. I was expecting a bright brass look to compliment the brass on my new Woodchuck banjo.
I was surprised by the rough look of the piece, not in keeping with usual Pisgah quality.
Can't detect much of a difference in sound with steel strings but my ears aren't great. Pleased to have it though a touch pricey.
