I will say however from my initial impressions that the pilgrim is a very decent mandolin for its price point, compared to far more expensive mandolins I had researched.
The instrument is constructed of a solid spruce top, and solid maple back and sides, and a mahogany bridge, which I’m sure will improve the sound of this mandolin. Finishing around the scroll and headstock could have warranted better attention, but this doesn’t affect its overall pleasant design that pilgrim have achieved of an early style mandolin. Nice antique matt sunburnt finish adds to its vintage bluegrass charm. I had this professionally set up before shipment by the eagle music team and the intonation is excellent, and tone is very clear and bright with a good chop sound.
I think this instrument with further playing and time will be an even better mandolin.
