The back, sides and neck are made from solid maple, while the front is carved from selected solid spruce with a bound top edge. It is fitted with nickel plated hardware and an ebony bridge.

This circa 1920's Vega banjo mandolin is based on a Little Wonder design.

A beautifully restored, luthier-owned instrument that is Irish tuned with 4 strings (can be restrung to normal 8-string mandolin style). The resonator was added by the owner. It is also freshly refretted.

It features the original tuners and a few upgrades... a beautiful maple tailpiece cover and mahogany bridge for a slightly mellower sound.

At 100 years old we can certainly say that this English mandolin has a mature tone! Set up and in excellent playing condition, and as pictured. Has a beautiful colourful picture on the back of a lady playing a tambourine. Patent No. 2272 By his Majesty's Royal Letters refers to Edward V11 which dates it between 1902 and 1910 and made in the Uk.A few scratches as can be seen on the photos but no slts or cracking.
