However the product (Black Mountain picks) was substandard. The picks are almost unusable as no grip.

I love this pick. Spring loaded action makes it very comfortable and it has more of a standard plectrum feel to it than other thumb picks for single note licks. Nice sound it produces for fingerstyle playing.
