Crafted in Yorkshire, England, the Dobson tone ring gives the banjo a warm fat bass response, but retains the sparkle and pop in the top end. The Dobson tone ring is well known for its rich mellow tone and added sustain, perfect for any old time banjo build.

The 'Clamshell' nickel plated, spring loaded, classic design tailpiece is often found on pre-war Gibson banjos. This tailpiece is also known as the 'Claw' tailpiece. This taipiece can be fitted to 5-string and 4-string banjos. On the internal bottom plate it has five 'fingers' that can be used with loop ended strings. It also has five 'holes' that can be used with ball ended strings.
The bottom plate is also fitted with a knurled thumb screw making it fully adjustable for angle and height. It also has a spring loaded 'clamshell' top cover plate.
A set of four precision deluxe tuning pegs with torque friction setting screw. These pegs are precision made and are as found on many top quality ukes and ukulele banjos. Each peg is assembled from ten individual engineered components. Please see below for more details.
