A unique instrument and a blend of a few Northfield designs. This A-style mandolin borrows from the very popular Model M and Artist Series Mandolins to create a powerful response in an elegantly appointed instrument.

This mandolin has a handful of unique features that set it apart from Northfield's Standard Series including a master grade Italian spruce top, premium maple back, sides, and neck, spirit varnish finish, and Nugget tailpiece.

Choose from 3 colour options, dark cherryburst, light leatherburst or Icelandic brown amber.

Also 2 nut widths, standard 1 1/8" or a wide nut 1 3/16" version

Supplied with Airloom Recurve hardshell case.

Northfield S Series Mandolins aim to be an elegantly understated version of the master model instruments, still with the  signature tone, projection and construction in an abbreviated form.

Choose between all solid Adirondack spruce or Engelmann spruce top with a highly figured maple back, sides and neck.

3 colour options, light cherry burst, amber or black top with light cherry burst back and sides.

Also 2 nut widths, standard 1 1/8" or a wide nut1 3/16" version

This beautifully crafted A-style mandolin was handmade by renowned luthier Phil Davidson in Gloucestershire in 2009. Featuring a solid spruce top paired with stunning maple back and sides, it offers a warm, resonant tone with excellent projection thanks to its oval soundhole. The instrument plays exceptionally well, with a smooth neck and low, comfortable action that makes it a joy to pick up and play.
