The Suzuki Gregoire Maret G-48 Harmonica is a chromatic signature model of star player Grégoire Maret.  Grégoire was constantly seeking this mysterious "Beautiful Dark Sound" throughout the development of his signature models. He proposed many ideas, including the materials to be used, the colours, the tolerance of the reeds and other intricate aspects of these magical instruments.

After exhaustive research, the G-48 and G-48W fulfil the spirit of his ideas to the last detail. The G-48 has a powerful and intense sound that's combined with a unique dark blue coverplate. The special plating is not just beautiful but has high durability characteristics. This plating material is renowned for its durability.

Shinobix (from Shinobu, meaning 'Stealth') is designed to lower the volume of your chromatic harmonica without affecting playablilty. This unique accessory is composed of a cover plate set which replaces your normal plates(SCX-48, S-48,G-48/G-48W) directing the tone into Suzuki's custom made Silencer. The silencer utilizes individual spiral structures for each of the 12 reed chambers; effectively reducing the sound level by around 15-20db.

Tremolo-tuned harmonicas are mainly used for folk music. They are easily recognisable by the horizontal division of the air channels. Each channel has two reeds for each note, one pair for blown notes and another pair for drawn ones.

These reeds, which are basically identical, are tuned to slightly different frequencies. When played together, this difference causes the characteristic beating of the tremolo sound, a guarantee for a cheerful and merry tone!
