Affectionately nicknamed the “Ohta-san Bell,” the Concert Bell-Shaped String ukulele is the same shape as the Concert 4-String ukulele, just slightly bigger with a larger bottom, resulting in a rich, deeper tone beloved by renowned ukulele musician Herb Ohta Sr. Luthier Sam Kamaka Jr. designed the instrument for “Ohta-san” to create more depth of sound for the low G and a greater range for picking that beautifully suited Herb Ohta Sr.’s playing style.

The Kamaka family has been dedicated to building skillfully-handcrafted ukuleles since 1916, almost a century of dedication to quality. The HB-2 is a beautiful hand crafted concert bell shaped ukulele with an unmatched Hawaiian sound. The heritage of ukulele making at Kamaka Hawaii is preserved by second and third generation Hawaiian luthiers, as well as the many talented craftsmen at the Kakaako factory in Honolulu. Each Kamaka ukulele has its own individual Serial Number.
Each individual Kamaka ukulele is a heritage hand crafted, highest quality instrument with the pure traditional Hawaiian tone. this heirloom quality instrument is supplied complete with a Kamaka Custom hard shell case.
