The Erin 'Premier Deluxe' is one of the finest hand built mandolin in our listings. It is built to a high specification from the best quality hand selected timbers. The quality of tone and volume is exceptional ! High quality Rubner plate geared tuners of the highest specification enhances the balance and feel of this quality mandolin. An excellent session instrument.

The Body Assembly… The back and sides are built from solid hand selected curly maple, the back of the body measures 330.0mm (12.99”) x 260mm (10.23” attractive ebony binding protects the front and back joints. The depth of the body is 60mm (2.360”). The carefully selected soundboard (top) is built from bear claw spruce. A fixed height ebony bridge with a natural bone saddle is fitted to the soundboard for maximum transmission of sound. The plate type tailpiece has a custom hand carved ebony topped slide off cover, it is designed to accept loop end strings.

Neck Assembly… The neck is built from solid rock maple, precisely profiled for ease of playing to a vintage profile that feels like the old Gibsons; it has an internally fitted adjustable truss rod. The Ebony fingerboard is fitted with eighteen nickel silver frets precisely positioned, honed and polished. Pearl dot markers are inlaid at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 10th, 12th & 15th frets …small pearl side position marker dots are inlaid in the side of the rosewood fingerboard at the same positions.

The fingerboard has a fast smooth action. The precisely cut nut is made from natural bone. The ‘custom’ shape headstock is faced with ebony with a gold leaf 'Erin' insignia. The oval truss rod cover is hand crafted from ebony. A set of Rubner high precision geared plate tuners are fitted for positive, trouble free tuning. Finish: Natural satin
