The SEYDEL 1847 LIGHTNING is the favorite instrument of our endorser Charlie Musselwhite

The 1847 LIGHTNING is an exceptionally dynamic Blues harmonica. The elegant, highly polished comb, in combination with polished stainless steel reeds, is extremely easy to play with a great tone response. It produces a great, expressive and assertive sound, which makes the 1847 LIGHTNING the first choice of our endorser Charlie Musselwhite!

His trademark is his expressive and at the same time technically outstanding harmonica playing, which makes him one of the best harmonica players in the world.

Tremolo-tuned harmonicas are mainly used for folk music. They are easily recognisable by the horizontal division of the air channels. Each channel has two reeds for each note, one pair for blown notes and another pair for drawn ones.

These reeds, which are basically identical, are tuned to slightly different frequencies. When played together, this difference causes the characteristic beating of the tremolo sound, a guarantee for a cheerful and merry tone!

Brand New but now discontinued model available in C only.
