Made in the USA by Deering Banjos, the Erin Ennis EEG2-19 19 fret tenor banjo has a resonator to give the banjo more volume by pushing all the sound forward. The set-up on this banjo is influenced by the Carolina King himself, Jens Kruger! It is an excellent natural maple closed back resonator banjo fitted with the NEW Deering patent pending 2010 tone ring. It has Deering railroad capo spikes fitted at the 7th, 9th and 10th frets to facilitate easy key changes for different tunings. 'The Classical' is our latest model featuring Aquila nylon banjo strings for a mellow, round and classical sound. It is fitted with a Knot-Less tailpiece to reduce the break angle between the bridge and rim of the banjo. This helps to create the beautiful, mellow tone. This banjo combines the feel of the new with the sound of the old. And can of course very easily be converted back to a standard steel strung 5 string. The Deering Goodtime Leader model has a higher specification than the standard Goodtime banjo.
