This banjo has been fitted with a brass Shubb 5th string sliding capo.

Some of the gold plating on the tension hoop and tonering has worn away over the years but the banjo plays really well

The Roanoke combines a slightly more ornate peghead overlay with the rich color of walnut and the simplicity of a nickel-plated banjo. The striking, figured walnut resonator with its contrasting inlaid wood rings makes for an instrument that is as much a treat for the eyes as it is the ears.

The walnut neck imparts a sweet tone with a clarity which only walnut can give. Both the neck and the resonator are stained with a natural walnut finish and bound in white/black/white. The neck is inlaid with the original Huber pattern and the pot is built using the Huber Engineered rim and the Huber HR-30 tone ring.

The Deering Goodtime Leader ‘Carolina King’ is our top of the range, highest specification Goodtime ‘Special’ Banjo, primarily designed for hard driving bluegrass and picking styles. The set-up on this banjo is influenced by the Carolina King himself, Jens Kruger! It is an excellent natural maple closed back resonator banjo fitted with the NEW Deering patent pending 2010 tone ring. It has Deering railroad capo spikes fitted at the 7th, 9th and 10th frets to facilitate easy key changes for different tunings. The Ozark 2141G professional banjo has a wood shell and an attractive flamed maple resonator with inlaid rings, enhanced by high quality chrome plating on the fittings and armrest. The tailpiece is a ‘Gibson-style’ clamshell type and the 22 nickel silver frets are perfectly fitted and polished for smooth playing. An 11” REMO Weatherking head and high quality tuners are also fitted.
