Gold Tone LS-6 Lap Steel Guitar with Hard Case
The Gold Tone LS-6 evokes the Oahu Tonemaster, one of the most revered lap steels of the 1950s. Gold Tones version is so close to the original that owners of Oahu instruments buy LS-6 pickups and hardware from them for use in the restoration of their prized guitars. The LS-6 is set up for open D tuning (DADF#AD) but other tunings can be accommodated by installing strings that are gauged for those tunings.

Back in the 50's when Lap Steels were in their hey day, the Oahu Tonemaster® was the lap of choice among professionals. The Gold Tone LS-6 is a vintage replica of this famous instrument.
The pick up and hardware are identical to the originals.
Gold Tone have even sold these replacement parts to Tone Master owners. It includes a bone nut, square-covered style tuners, ash tray cover, and tobacco brown two-tone finish.
