Description

When fitting, you gently tighten the screw with the Allen key to enable the mute to slide forwards towards the bridge and backwards towards the tailpiece.

In use: Slide the mute towards the bridge for the degree of volume that you wish ...The closer to your bridge, the quieter your banjo!

The beauty of this exclusive mute is that it is not cumbersome and does not interfere with your right hand technique like many other banjo mutes.

I'm not sure that I've worked out this device yet, it doesn't mute much and I don't like the tones that it produces much. I'll persevere!

It does indeed mute my banjo when I need to but it does not "enhance tone". It gave my Gibson banjo a bit of an inferior tinny sound instead.

I've not been playing long and am aware that my attempts to learn a song wouldn't be pleasant for my husband or neighbours to hear. I ordered this mute and a m really pleased with it. I was concerned it would look unsightly on my lovely Goodtime, however, it's only small and well made it looks fine. I like the fact that once it's on, which was really easy to do, it doesn't need to be removed as you just slide it away from the bridge when it's not required as mute. It mutes well in that it's still clear to hear but the sound is gentler and about 50% quieter (maybe like the sound of a guitar played gently). Anyway can practice now carefree.
