The Patrick James Eggle  Saluda is a  small jumbo shaped guitar with a balanced, rich tone. The Saluda fills up the middle and covers all the bases tonally. It fits into your playing like an old friend who knows all of your songs and is more than willing to teach you a new lick or two. The Saluda features the unique Eggle head stock shape with a smooth head stock back

The standard model comes with classic PJE mother of pearl inlay on the head stock.

The Saluda is built from solid exotic hand selected timbers throughout, It has a solid sitka spruce top fitted with an ebony pin-bridge. the bridge pins are hand turned from ebony and inlaid with pearl. The bridge is fitted with a 'TusQ' saddle that is hand worked to give precise intonation. The soundboard is decorated with a neat double abalone sound hole rosette, the top-to-side binding is matching in koa wood inlays. A custom tortex shell scratch plate  is fitted for protection.

The back and sides are built from solid figured maple.

The top, back and sides are fully bound to protect all body edges in koa binding. The fast mahogany neck is a dream to play, it has a solid ebony fingerboard with falling mapl leaf inlays at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 13th,15th, 17th & 19th frets. The hard steel frets are perfectly worked, rounded and polished precisely. Mini dot markers are also positioned into the side binding at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 12th, 15th & 17th frets.

The ebony faced 'Eggle' headstock is inlaid with the distinctive 'PJE' in natural mother of pearl and fitted with a matched set of PJE Gotoh G5 tuners for trouble free, precise and positive tuning.
