As beautiful and elegant as its mythical namesake, the Athena is amazingly light in weight as you pick it up. The radiused neck is sleek and comfortable, with its Heart Blossom inlay sparkling in abalone and pearl. The walnut neck tells you this work of the highest quality, but as light as it is, how does sound? As you play your first notes, you expect the sound you have heard from other lightweight banjos, but no, this is the sound all banjos should have – rich, full, powerful! It is as if the banjo doesn't know its lighter than it is. But you know. And so does your back.
