Good for clawhammer banjo. How well these work will depend to some extent upon your exact hand position and strike angle. The pick can be rotated slightly off centre if necessary to improve the angle of attack. There is no consensus amongst clawhammer players concerning picks but this is definitely one to try. I find it works well for me.

I personally find that these pics don't resist the friction with the string as well as Alaska pics do. They lift ever so slightly. Also the general feel of them to my mind isn't as natural as the Alaska pic. Of course this is all down to personal preference. The freedom pic is still way better than the old fashioned claw pics. :-)

Very light and adjustable. I like the plectrum. Ordered a 'medium' but note they come as light and heavy too.

The finger picks are not as effective as I had hoped. They are too flimsy and sound quite dead on the strings. They are likely to come off your fingers if played vigorously

Been looking for a long time for fingerpicks designed for people who have never used them. I play aggressive fingerstyle/strumming hybrid and my nails/fingers are being destroyed. But all other pick styles require me to just about relearn everything. This pick is as close as it gets to actually playing with your fingers while still giving protection. Excellent

Bit expensive for what it is. I just wanted something to cover my nail when i strum, I still want to use finger tips for picking. I managed to cut this down to size and file it. the small size is way way too small. I ordered a large. Can't wear the small for any length of time without it hurting.

I have selected these from listening to advice online and as a relative beginner trying to master finger picking these seemed to be the best.

I use these to play electric guitars without a pick as the nails on the first and middle fingers get hammered. So far using one on the index or middle finger seems to work best, but still fine tuning at present. The best finger pick i have tried so far for this by some distance.

Not quite as good as fingernails, but the next best thing.

These really do feel very natural, even better than expected! Plus they sound very good, much less clunky than other types.

I play an Auto-harp and was seeking good finger picks. I knew about Fred Kelly Delrin & Poly Freedom Picks but found nowhere in Austria (I live in Vienna) where I could buy them. I find them excellent for my purpose and am very pleased with them. Am thankful it was possible to order on line from Eagle Music

The best finger picks I've tried. I might even get used to them! Pity I can't find a thumb pick that produces the same sound.

Great pick for clawhammer, creates a lot of volume and feels very natural. Ideal when your nail is a bit knackered. The material used creates a more natural sound than the metal picks I have tried.

Excellent product. I have been looking for these finger picks almost all my life! Great design, easy to adjust and my picking style has improved. Makes each string ring out. Am going to order some thumb picks next...can't wait to try them all together...

As a player who uses fingernails, It is sometimes difficult to switch to regular finger picks in an emergency. Freedom picks are a good compromise - but you might need a size larger than you expect.

item used for clawhammer banjo playing, while very usefull and good quality, very tight on my fingers, as only go as far as large. after a while they hurt the quick by my nail.

I cant grow fingernails and these are the next best thing for my nylon-strung gipsy guitar - not clumsy or noisy like most of the others

I use these picks for banjo, clawhammer banjo (1 reversed) & dobro. I find them more comfortable, than nickel picks, but they stay on securely and have better attack than conventional plastic picks.

Product is great and first impressions are that I will buy more of this product. Some better sizing information would have been of help, but luckily the size seems to be fine for me.

good quality. I bought a medium, which fitted my female middle finger snuggly for clawhammer banjo playing. A great design but am not sure about the sound it produces. It would be great if the company made the same item in brass!

I use the freedom picks when playing my autoharp. They are excellent for both pinching and for strumming. These two actions involve using the fingers in opposite directions which is not possible with normal picks as they fly off the fingers getting caught under the strings when you try to strum upwards. The freedom picks allow this strum without flying off.
I made my last order on behalf of two new members of our autoharp club and will continue to recommend others to use them too.

I've only recently been learning the guitar and am very interested in playing fingerstyle but absolutely hate having long nails. These seem like the best solution so far. They stay on firmly enough for security without pinching.
Only negative would be they are relatively expensive for picks.

Tried many types of picks over 45 years, found these last week and they are the bees knees. I can use them on guitar or banjo. Only problem = I ordered medium instead of large and could not mould them properly to be really comfortable, no problem, cheap enough to re-order.
