Steve Noon, our company owner writes ...I have known and listened to Enda for many years, I have watched him develop into one of the most prominent Irish tenor banjo players of modern times. Enda has a style that is both technical and traditional ..he plays with masterly timing and with great feeling. Enda has been teaching Irish Tenor Banjo himself for the past fifteen years in workshops and master classes throughout the world.

A one time code at the back of the book links you to a website to then download and play alongs included with this book, there are over 50 great banjo tunes. The book has detailed tune notes including detailed picking instructions, ornamentation and fingering.

The book has a forward by Mick Moloney ...another great Irish Tenor Banjo and mandolin player ...Listen to Micks album 'Strings Attached'!

Enda's solo album 'Pick it up' was highly acclaimed. More recently he has collaborated with the box player Paul Brock to produce a great banjo and melodeon CD entitled 'Humdinger'.

Enda is now living in Galway city.

It seems a good tutor for a beginner and beyond although there are a couple of aspects missing such as advice on left hand fingering and I think including chord symbols with the notation would have pushed it up to 5 star.
