Description

This is a serious instrument!…but what a great idea from Seydel, the Big Six Folk is a six hole folk harp with twelve stainless steel reads. The reed plated are screwed onto a beech wood comb. The comb is multi sealed against moisture. The note layout is that of holes 4 to 9 on a standard 10-hole harp lowered one octave. It is suitable for playing traditional tunes and songs in the first position. It comes in a sealed can, that you have to open yourself. The empty ‘can’ can be used as a megaphone to enhance and give unique sounds from your ‘Big Six’ .

Comes complete ‘in the can’ with a Seydel quality stylish lanyard that also has a safety clasp to attach keys or other item that you may need to carry with you.

Try this harmonica, you will be amazed at the power and tone!

Available in 'C' only ...Also available as a Blues model.

So this smaller harmonica fits perfectly in that little pocket all jeans have, on the front right side (just above the right main pocket, most jeans have a second one?) and it’s just a brilliant harp! Whenever I wear jeans, it will always be there.

What I really like about this instrument: it’s the smallest size harp that you can actually *learn* how to play (although you might wanna go for the Blues Big Six if you learn, rather than the Folk here, which I bought to play other type of tunes).

So even if it’s not a 10-hole, it still has got enough range with its 6 holes to play most melodies the online courses teach (say, with ***, or ***) — if, for whatever reason, you don’t wanna go for a 10-hole.

Don’t get me wrong, the 10-hole blues harp is awesome, and I’ve got about 12 of them.

But, when I’m out, I’ve got my 10-holes in my backpack and the Big Six (the one I’m reviewing right now) in my jeans small pocket.
