The fine build qualities of this professional banjo are reflected in the awesome power, tone and projection that it offers the player. It is designed by a master banjo builder, with over fifty years of experience, and is built from the finest ‘banjo materials’. The beautiful curly maple neck and resonator, and ebony fingerboard inlaid with natural abalone inlays, is enhanced by Ome’s build quality and attention to fine detail.


The Pot Assembly:
• Air dried 11/16” thick, ‘three ply’ sold maple rim
• Megatone 200 bronze tone ring

• Double Ome design 3/8” diameter coordinating rim rod set
• Highly figured curly maple detachable resonator ( 4 domed thumb screws)
• Ivoroid and black binding on resonator
• Ome design intricate cut die cast zinc flange

The Maker: Charles Ogsbury

Charles Ogsbury began designing and building banjos in 1960 under the Ode name.  He sold Ode to Baldwin in 1966 and started Ome Banjos in 1970. Charles emphasizes that his long-term passion has always been to craft outstanding banjos which equal or surpass the best of the vintage classics.  Ome’s hand-built instruments feature exceptional tone, playability, and beauty, and are made to last a life-time.

The Ome range includes Bluegrass, Old Time Open-Backs, Tenor and Plectrum banjos.  Each instrument feature is designed by Charles Ogsbury. Ome also pride themselves on using the finest banjo building materials and timbers with options such as the finest select curly maple, walnut, and ebony woods, hand-rubbed finishes, hand-engraved armrests and tailpieces, wood carving, dye-coloring. Gold-plated metal parts are also available on all Ome banjos.

We will endeavor to ensure that orders are speedily processed and despatched the same day if at all possible.

Ordered items requiring setting up in the workshop will be despatched within 1-2 days using Interlink Express Next Day Delivery (next day being the day after it leaves Eagle Music Shop).

You will be informed immediately if there is a problem with any part of your order or if any item is 'out of stock'.

Should you not be entirely happy with your purchase, or you have ordered an incorrect item, Eagle Music is happy to refund your purchase (excluding postage) within 28 days providing the goods are in a fully resaleable condition (including the original undamaged packaging) and not featured within the Exclusion Policy. (Exclusions apply to selected products).

Please note the following exclusions:

DVD's and CD's cannot be returned unless they are faulty

Banjo heads cannot be returned once you have tried to fit them to your banjo

Harmonica's have a 7 day guarantee and can be returned within this time if they are found to be faulty

Goods must be returned to Eagle Music together with a covering letter and contact details so that the matter can be dealt with efficiently and promptly.
