The 'archtop' tone-ring is the only choice for 'short scale tenor banjos' that are drop-tuned for Irish G, D, A, E style. The 'archtop' tone-ring gives a much more lively sound and is far more responsive to the player than the 'flat-headed' tone-ring that work best on bluegrass banjos.
