The ABM Special is the 8 string version of the Slider lap steel. 8 String steel guitars were and still are used predominantely in Hawaiian, Western Swing and Country music. They were featured heavily on the recordings of Hank Williams, Bob Wills, Ernest Tubb and countless others. The ABM Special is available in a Blue finish and is supplied with a tone bar, picks. A sturdy flight case is optional."Take it away Leon!"

There are dozens of tuning variations where the 8 string steel is concerned but we have narrowed it down to the two most commonly used variants C6 and A6 and two more unusual tunings in the shape of B11th and A Diatonic. Don't be afraid to experiment with a tuning of your own!
