The heart of the Goodtime Special 'closed back' tenor banjo is the thick Rock Maple and Beach rim and heavy tone ring producing an exceptional powerful bright crisp sound...The Rock Maple resonator (closed back) helps to produce more volume by pushing the sound forward. It is built with excellent quality nickel hardware and the Rock Maple neck sets up with a fast action. On this banjo you are not paying extra for fancy inlays, abalone and exotic timbers!
