Deering - Calico Custom Shop Tenor Banjo

The Deering Calico is built from eastern hard curly rock maple.It has a clear bright tone with very powerful voice and projection. It has a very comfortable, easy to play neck profile.The Eastern hard rock curly maple neck and resonator are honey stained in colour, and trimmed in purfling and ivoroid binding.

The feel of binding provides a more comfortable neck. Scroll shaped mother-of-pearl inlays are set in the ebony fingerboard. The elegant ebony faced headstock has mother of pearl inlays and is bound in white.

The three ply maple rim, sand cast virgin bell bronze Deering tone-ring and zinc flange construction generate excellent tone and volume.The inside walls of the resonator on the Calico are tapered to maximise the sound and give you instant response and clear tone.
