 In the beginners section Karen demonstrates the basic skills of piano accordion playing, using 16 easy slow-paced tunes. Features include easy airs, beginners jigs and reels, three-note triplets, cuts and rolls, right and left hand fingering and ornamentation. The advanced section features 13 jigs and reels, polkas, slides and hornpipes that are more highly ornamented. Topics covered include advanced bass patterns, fundamentals and counter basses, seventh and diminished chords, single note triplets and bellows pulse.
