The Pot Assembly… The rim is built from cast aluminium and is a one piece construction 281mm (11 ½ “) highly polished. The tone ring and flange are integral with the rim and is fitted with 30 chrome plated bracket hooks to give firm and even tension on the tension hoop. A single bracketed, chrome plated armrest is fitted. The tailpiece is the ‘Elton’ type, adjustable for height via a chrome plated thumb screw, it has an embossed ‘Ozark’ logo. All metal fittings are heavily chrome plated. Frosted top milky 11” diameter Remo ‘weatherking’ plastic head is fitted as standard along with an ebony tipped 15.87mm (5/8”) maple bridge. Four chrome-plated resonator thumbscrews are provided to attach the resonator. The detachable resonator is constructed from maple with an attractive mahogany brown veneer. It has a convex back with binding. The resonator back is sunburst in the pre-war ‘Gibson-style’ brown mahogany and is clear lacquered and highly polished.

The Neck Assembly… The short scale 17 fret neck is attached to the pot assembly with a single lag bolt and a single coordinating rim rod which give you the facility to alter the ‘action’ of banjo to suit your particular style of playing relative to the strings of your choice. The neck is constructed from mahogany, it is also fitted with an internal adjustable steel truss rod. The rosewood 17 fret fingerboard is fully bound to match the resonator. The fingerboard is inlaid with pearl dot inlays and small white side dot position markers at the 3rd, 7th, 10th, 12^th & 15th frets. The nickel silver fretwork is perfectly positioned, rounded and polished for smooth playing. The nut is precisely cut and filed for a comfortable string action. The peg head (headstock) is black faced and inlaid with a pearl ‘Ozark’ script logo. A white edged black plastic ‘bell’ shape truss rod cover is fitted. A set of good quality side facing ‘guitar style’ geared tuners are fitted to give positive and trouble free tuning. The tuners are chrome plated to match the hardware of the pot assembly. The neck is stained, clear lacquered and highly polished to match the resonator.
