The Pot Assembly… The rim is built from mahogany-ply. The rim diameter is 279.40mm (11”) and a thickness of 19.05mm (1/2”). The rim also acts as the tone ring and produces a ‘warm’ sound. 18 bracket hooks are fitted to give even tension on the tension hoop. The tailpiece is a flat 'Elton' type embossed with the 'Ozark' logo ...it that accepts ball or loop ended strings. All metal work is chrome plated to a high standard. A milky 11” diameter plastic head is fitted (top side coated) along with an ebony tipped 15.87mm (5/8”) maple bridge. The rim is stained in the pre-war ‘Gibson-style’ brown mahogany and is satin finished.

The Neck Assembly… The neck is attached to the pot assembly with a single lag bolt and a single coordinating rim rod which give you the facility to alter the ‘action’ of the banjo to suit your particular style of playing relative to the strings of your choice. The neck is constructed from solid mahogany and is fitted with an internal adjustable steel truss rod. The fingerboard is inlaid with dot pearl inlays at the 3rd, 7th, 10th, 12th,15th, and 17th frets. The nickel silver fretwork is perfectly positioned, rounded and polished for smooth playing. The nut is precisely cut and filed for a comfortable string action at the first position. The 5th string tuning peg has a screw to adjust the torque for positive tuning. The peg head (headstock) is dark flat stained with the name ‘Ozark’ inlaid in natural pearl abalone. A black plastic ‘bell’ shape truss rod cover is fitted. A set of covered-plate geared, side facing tuners are fitted. The tuners are chrome plated to match the hardware of the pot assembly. The neck is stained and satin finished, to match the rim.
