Phil Davidson has been handcrafting fine instruments for over twenty years. After a successful career in mechanical engineering Phil decided that his skills could be more satisfactorily utilised by making a vocation of his hobby.

The skills gained in engineering have proved indispensible in the construction of his widely acclaimed Banjo hardware, Mandolin and Guitar tailpieces made and nickel-plated in his own workshop. Our relationship with Phil goes back many years resulting in our 'Eagle Music Shop' Phil Davidson custom range of Mandolin family instruments.

We are particulary proud of our range of custom designed 'Erin' banjos, available in short or standard scale open back or with resonator.  In addition to Tenor and 5-string banjos Eagle Music Shop also stocks hand built Davidson Ukuleles and Mandolins.
